Out of the box Drupal provides only very basic workflow functionality - but Drupal wouldn't be Drupal, if there weren't modules catering for all sorts of use cases. This session will provide a brief overview of workflow-related options in Drupal 7 (workbench[1], maestro[2]) but will focus primarily on workflows powered by the Rules.module[3]. Using a small suite of "glue modules" (wf_field[4]) we will demonstrate how to leverage rules, views, fields and entities functionality to provide flexible and powerful workflows in Drupal 7.
